Hanif Sufizada

Hanif Sufizada, an Afghan-American, is an accomplished international development professional and former Fulbright scholar from Afghanistan, whose academic journey led him to Cornell University for graduate studies in international development. With a robust foundation in academia and international development practices, Sufizada has dedicated over 20 years to promoting economic development and good governance across Afghanistan, India, Liberia, Nepal, and Pakistan.
Drawing from his vast experience in the developing world, Sufizada has firsthand experience of economic hardships, environmental degradation, health challenges, and issues related to access to nutritious food and agricultural markets. Sufizada has led various projects in agribusiness, democracy and governance, elections, environmental protection, health, and education. His dedication to making an impact in these areas continues to drive his professional endeavors.
In addition to being the Executive Director of Global Empowerment Nexus for Humanity (GEN-H), Mr. Sufizada works as a revenue economist at the Department of Revenue, State of Nebraska, USA.
Sufizada holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and rural development, and two master's degrees: one in International Development from Cornell University and another in Business Economics from the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO).
